Sparks are an amazing charity which raises money for research for young children with very rare medical conditions. There are 1 in 30 children in the UK that are born every day with a condition that may affect them for life and Sparks are using every penny that is raised to help improve the lives of these unfortunate young children.

Meit are pleased to confirm our continuing involvement in data centre and office based projects in South Africa with Barclays/ABSA.

Having undertaken the detailed design for the fit-out of 150,000ft2 of office space within 25 Cabot Square, the works are due for completion in Q1 2015. The project includes a large open plan floor of conventional office space with entirely new services and a client facing floor including multiple specialist areas including a 150 person auditorium, 180 person multi-function room, flexible training room and client meeting rooms delivered to a very high specification of services and interior design. The project was undertaken in an occupied building and also included the separation of Morgan Stanley’s bespoke resilient power and cooling demands from the Landlord central infrastructure and the introduction of standalone systems.

We continue to grow our overseas experience. We have recently been commissioned to lead the services design for Barclays offices in Lithuania.

MEIT Associates have been awarded a dual appointment by Digital Realty and Rackspace to act as monitoring consultants for a new build Data Centre in West Sussex.  The project is being developed for Rackspace and will ultimately provide a facility of up to 10MW capacity across 4 No. data Halls.  The project is due for completion Q1 2015.

We are proud to announce a new partnership with University College London. MEIT Associates have been appointed for the services design of a new fit out project within the existing Roberts Building. This will be a challenging project which will comprise laboratories, fume cupboards, offices and classrooms, all being constructed within a live building.

MEIT Associates were delighted to be involved with the design of the new Belstaff flagship store on New Bond Street, in London.  The store opened during London Fashion Week with David Beckham headlining the opening event.  The overall interior design included strong references to Belstaff’s authentic British heritage,  including an area of the shop being named Goodwood Hall after the famous Goodwood race track in West Sussex, where The Goodwood Sports and Racing Collection by Belstaff sits.

MEIT worked with TPG  London and New York and  interior designers  Studio Sofield  in New York.  The attention to detail for the store was of the  highest priority and the entire team worked tirelessly to achieve the opening date.

On 12th September, we hosted our 25th Anniversary celebration at the 8 Club, Moorgate. The event was well supported with over a hundred friends, clients, colleagues old and new. The evening was a great success and was enjoyed by all. A huge thanks to all of you who attended and look forward to our continued working relationship.

Lots of good food and drinks was consumed over the night with the evening being rounded off with a cutting  of the cake by Roger, Tim, Alan & Martin.

MEIT continues to provide a strong presence in sustainability consultancy to the office sector. Consultancy to COMO  on 145,898 sq. ft. of office space at 199 Bishopsgate; eleven storeys of major refurbishment to fabric and services, achieved both the very high BREEAM “Excellent” standard and the broader British Land sustainability brief that included measures against local employment, education and community issues.
